About the Role
Our client, a fast-growing FinTech company, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation of new technology solutions across their organisation. This role, based in **Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK**, will involve managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that technology projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and a passion for driving technological innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT and technology projects.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and task completion.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Communicate project status, updates, and key decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and outsourced development teams where applicable.
- Conduct post-project reviews and identify lessons learned for future projects.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in project management and software development.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on IT and technology implementations.
- Proven experience managing software development projects, including web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or MS Project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working in the financial technology sector is a significant plus.
