About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of major maritime and defence contracts.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Lead and motivate integrated project teams, ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure strict adherence to defence standards, quality requirements, and security protocols.
- Manage client relationships and communications, providing regular project updates and status reports.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues.
- Oversee procurement activities and manage supplier performance.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant.
- Conduct project reviews and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Achieve project objectives regarding profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on defence or maritime sectors.
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects with government or defence clients.
- Strong understanding of defence procurement, tendering processes, and contract management.
- Familiarity with defence industry standards and regulations (e.g., JSP, ITAR).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to obtain security clearance for defence projects.
- This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to client sites or key facilities as required.
