Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of automotive manufacturing projects, from strategic planning to final handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, setting clear objectives, deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Manage project budgets meticulously, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and supply chain personnel.
- Establish and maintain clear communication channels with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership and external suppliers.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry standards, quality protocols, and regulatory requirements within the automotive sector.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project execution and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct thorough project reviews and performance analysis to capture lessons learned and enhance future project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 4 years focused on the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects involving new vehicle model launches or significant production line reconfigurations.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management software tools.
- Strong understanding of automotive supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working within the West Midlands, UK industrial landscape is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time and on-site in Coventry .
