Our client, a growing financial services firm, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the implementation of critical business systems in
Plymouth, Devon, UK . This role is central to enhancing operational efficiency and supporting business growth through effective technology solutions. You will manage projects involving the selection, configuration, and deployment of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) software, or other core business applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business processes across various departments (e.g., finance, sales, operations) and have a proven track record of managing technology implementation projects from start to finish. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and successful adoption of new systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of key business systems, including ERP, CRM, and other enterprise software.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in consultation with business stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage project execution, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of system implementations.
- Coordinate activities between internal business units, IT teams, and external software vendors.
- Facilitate user training and change management initiatives to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Communicate project status and key decisions to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure that implemented systems meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on business systems implementation.
- Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of ERP or CRM system implementations.
- Solid understanding of common business processes in finance, sales, operations, or customer service.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
- Experience working with financial services or similar regulated industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Plymouth, Devon, UK area.
