About the Role
Our client, a dynamic technology solutions provider located in
Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK , is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead impactful data analytics projects. This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to leverage data to drive business insights and strategic decision-making for a diverse client base. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of data-centric projects, from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation and deployment. Success in this position requires a blend of technical understanding, excellent stakeholder management, and robust project execution skills. The role involves working collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver transformative data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams of data analysts, engineers, and consultants.
- Oversee the data gathering, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve agreed outputs.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and resolving issues and risks promptly.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and present findings.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically managing data analytics or data science projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, business intelligence, and data visualization concepts.
- Familiarity with various data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Previous experience in a client-facing or consulting role is advantageous.
