About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in IT infrastructure to join their expanding technology division, operating remotely but with a base in Leeds . This role is critical for orchestrating complex IT projects, including network upgrades, cloud migrations, and data center consolidations. You will lead strategic technology initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation and integration of new infrastructure solutions that support the organization's evolving business needs and ambitious growth targets, all managed within a fully remote, agile working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of diverse IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources effectively, employing robust risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and integration of new systems.
- Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, cloud services, and security systems, adhering to best practices.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication, providing regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data center initiatives.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure components, networking principles, cybersecurity, and IT service management (ITSM).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
