About the Role
Our client is actively searching for an accomplished Lead Project Manager to spearhead their most significant projects in Coventry . This senior position involves overseeing a portfolio of high-stakes projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving operational excellence. You will be instrumental in shaping project governance, mentoring junior project managers, and implementing robust risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is based full-time in our Coventry offices, fostering a collaborative and dynamic team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the full lifecycle of complex projects from initiation through to successful completion.
- Develop strategic project plans, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and project coordinators, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams across Coventry .
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing effective mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects within the manufacturing or automotive sectors is highly preferred for this Coventry role.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Lean) and proficiency with project management software.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage challenging stakeholder dynamics.
