About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects in Reading . This hybrid role demands a strategic thinker who can manage complex deployments, upgrades, and migrations while fostering collaboration between on-site and remote teams. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring that IT infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and a proven ability to manage stakeholders across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud deployments.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, establish timelines, and manage project budgets effectively.
- Oversee cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, vendors, and external partners, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a strong focus on IT infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT infrastructure initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of network technologies, server systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and data center operations.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
