About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Capital Projects Manager to oversee significant investment projects within their facilities in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . This crucial role involves managing the planning, design, procurement, and execution of capital expenditure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will coordinate with internal departments, external consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives and maximise return on investment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects , from feasibility studies and conceptual design to project completion and handover.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for capital investments.
- Oversee the selection and management of consultants, contractors, and vendors involved in capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular, comprehensive reports on project progress, financial status, and key milestones to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Capital Project Management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, financial controls, and procurement processes for large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience in managing construction or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership , communication, and negotiation skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or a degree in a relevant engineering or construction discipline are desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, balancing site visits with office-based planning and reporting in Sheffield .
