About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with a background in scientific research to lead key projects based in the vibrant academic and research hub of Oxford . This role involves managing the lifecycle of research projects, from grant applications and experimental design through to data analysis and publication. You will collaborate closely with researchers, scientists, and external partners, ensuring projects meet their scientific and budgetary objectives within a hybrid working framework. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of scientific research projects, ensuring alignment with research goals and timelines.
- Develop detailed project plans , including scope, objectives, methodologies, resource requirements, and budgets.
- Coordinate research activities, ensuring effective collaboration among scientific teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential scientific and logistical challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Facilitate communication between researchers, academic institutions, and industry partners.
- Prepare reports, publications, and presentations on research findings and project outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager , preferably within a scientific research or academic setting.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and the scientific process.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources for research projects.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams of scientists and researchers.
- A Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field is highly desirable.
