About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for innovative technology solutions in Sheffield . You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will also define project success metrics, disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycles, and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for multiple concurrent projects, from requirements gathering through to deployment and maintenance.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and risks.
- Coordinate and direct project team members and manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners.
- Implement and refine agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to optimise development processes and team productivity.
- Proactively identify and address project issues, risks, and dependencies to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Communicate project status, key decisions, and escalations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on managing complex software development projects .
- Proven track record of successfully delivering software products using agile methodologies.
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and various development frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
