About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee their project management office in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This senior role involves managing a portfolio of projects, mentoring junior project managers, and driving best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of a portfolio of strategic projects.
- Develop and implement project management standards and methodologies across the organization.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, fostering their professional growth.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Conduct regular project reviews, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies .
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant project budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP or equivalent certification is essential.
