About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead complex drug development and commercialization projects in Derby . This role is integral to guiding cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle, from early-stage research to market launch. You will be responsible for strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry's regulatory and scientific landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple pharmaceutical projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Oversee cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Monitor project progress, report on key milestones and performance indicators, and manage changes effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a scientific discipline, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex drug development projects from concept to launch.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D processes, regulatory pathways, and clinical development.
- Strong leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
