About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of facilities management projects in and around Sheffield . This crucial role involves managing a range of projects focused on maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing building infrastructure and services to ensure efficient and safe operational environments. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, construction, or a related field, coupled with excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple facilities management projects, including refurbishments, upgrades, and maintenance initiatives.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate the activities of internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and performance reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, implementing timely solutions.
- Communicate project progress and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in project management , with a focus on facilities management, building services, or construction.
- Demonstrated success in managing capital projects and operational improvements.
- Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance protocols, and health & safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and a good understanding of contract management.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, MAPM) or degree in a related discipline is preferred.
