About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a focus on the utilities sector to join their team in Plymouth . You will lead significant projects related to infrastructure development, network upgrades, and service improvements within the energy and water sectors. This role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape of utility services. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of utility infrastructure projects, from feasibility studies to final implementation and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and operational staff.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with regulatory bodies, community groups, and internal departments.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the utilities industry (e.g., water, energy, telecommunications).
- Strong knowledge of utility infrastructure, construction, and maintenance projects.
- Experience managing complex projects with significant budgets and regulatory oversight.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
