About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to lead Research and Development (R&D) projects in the prestigious academic city of Oxford . This role is critical for driving innovation and bringing new products and technologies from concept to realization. You will manage complex R&D timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams comprising scientists, engineers, and researchers. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of R&D projects, from initial research and feasibility studies through to prototype development and testing.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate effectively with internal R&D teams, external partners, and academic institutions.
- Ensure projects adhere to budget constraints and timelines, while maintaining scientific rigor and innovation focus.
- Facilitate clear communication and knowledge sharing among project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement timely solutions to keep R&D initiatives on track.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management , with a strong background in R&D or technology-driven environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary R&D projects.
- Strong understanding of innovation processes and product development lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
