About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient IT Project Manager to join their technology department in Manchester . This role will focus on managing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a variety of IT projects, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects meet their objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports for management.
- Identify and address potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience specifically managing IT projects , including software, infrastructure, and system implementation.
- Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Experience with IT governance, security best practices, and data privacy regulations.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP or similar IT project management certification is advantageous.
