About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Project Manager with a specialization in construction to manage projects in and around Leeds . This role involves overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction processes, and the ability to effectively manage site operations and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, site procedures, and building codes.
- Manage contractor and subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality of work and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and clients, highlighting key milestones, risks, and financial performance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management .
- Proven experience managing building projects, from groundworks to final finishes.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
- Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; RICS or CIOB membership is advantageous.
