About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Technical Project Manager to join their forward-thinking team, operating on a completely remote basis. This crucial role involves leading the planning and execution of complex technology projects, including software development, system integrations, and infrastructure deployments. You will work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a proven ability to manage remote teams effectively, driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of complex technical projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, and budget.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leads and product managers to define project requirements, scope, and technical specifications.
- Manage and mentor a distributed team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Implement and optimise Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and high-quality technical solutions that meet business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical project management , with a strong focus on software development and IT infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional technology projects with distributed teams.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies, cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure .
- Excellent remote communication , leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships virtually.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
