About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Lead Project Manager to spearhead critical IT infrastructure projects in Coventry . This pivotal role involves leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex technology initiatives that are essential to the company's operational efficiency and strategic growth. You will work closely with IT leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new systems and infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate is adept at managing risk, optimizing resources, and driving project success in a fast-paced technological landscape, contributing to innovation and system resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure projects , including network upgrades, data center migrations, and cloud deployments.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and tracking of expenditures.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and external vendors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and potential issues to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in IT project management , with a significant focus on infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects with budgets over £5 million.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies, server systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is required.
- Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
