About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager to optimize operations and supply chain functions in Wolverhampton . This role is vital for driving efficiency, implementing new logistical strategies, and enhancing overall supply chain performance across the organization. You will lead complex projects focused on improving inventory management, streamlining distribution, and integrating new technologies to support business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic planner with a strong analytical background, adept at managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to achieve significant operational improvements and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of projects focused on supply chain optimization , logistics, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and timeline adherence.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, procurement, and IT teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement new systems and technologies to enhance inventory management, warehousing, and distribution processes.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in project management , with a strong focus on operations and supply chain management .
- Proven experience managing projects involving warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), or ERP implementations.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Experience managing project budgets exceeding £3 million.
