About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in the manufacturing sector to join their team in Liverpool . This role is responsible for leading complex manufacturing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring efficient production processes, timely delivery of goods, and adherence to quality and safety standards. You will collaborate closely with production teams, engineering departments, supply chain partners, and senior management to drive operational excellence and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of manufacturing-focused projects, including new product introductions and process improvements.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing strategies.
- Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, production staff, and supply chain specialists.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and success.
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues within the manufacturing environment, ensuring operational continuity.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a significant portion within the manufacturing industry .
- Proven experience managing projects related to process optimisation, automation, or new product development in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
