About the Role
Our client is actively seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their established team in Liverpool . This critical role involves leading high-impact IT projects, from strategic technology initiatives to complex system implementations. You will be responsible for managing project lifecycles, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that align with the company's overall IT strategy. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale, complex IT projects from initiation through to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, and budget management.
- Coordinate and direct the work of project teams, including internal staff, external contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Champion the adoption of project management best practices and continuous improvement within the IT department.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in IT project management , with a significant portion in a senior capacity.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects, such as ERP implementations, infrastructure upgrades, or software development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with enterprise-level project management software and methodologies.
- Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration.
