White Space Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a niche client who specialise in designing and building immersive and experiential environments within large-scale complex leisure and hospitality schemes. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager ideally with a hybrid mix of BIM, fabrication or construction, and architectural design knowledge to oversee one-of-a-kind projects from RIBA 4-7, initially to the end of May 2027 with potential extension or progression to permanent if available.
These projects incorporate large permanent structural installations and/or sets incorporating theatrical immersive and interactive technology typically found within theme parks, visitor attractions, exhibition spaces, modern museums, and many other public spaces. Think Vegas, Harry Potter World, or the Imperial War Museum, The Science Museum etc.
The successful Project Manager will probably be someone with D&B style fabrication / construction knowledge who understands BIM and the architectural design RIBA framework tasked with project managing the design and fabrication of themed assets. This will include overseeing BIM coordination processes, and mainly coordinating between BIM Manager / Fabrication Leads / Special effects Leads and external stakeholders including the client engineer team, Lead Architect, and other specialist vendors from the completion of RIBA 4 through to the build / fabrication and delivery process.
Project Managers applying must have proven experience of delivering architectural projects as a Project Manager, D&B Manager or Design Manager following a structured project management process / methodology (even if it’s just smart sheets or Excel). Ideally previous experience of working on similar large-scale themed attraction, leisure or hospitality environments would be a bonus, but this is not essential.
This client is offering hybrid working from London or Manchester, or remote from elsewhere within the UK either as a Fixed Term Contract PAYE employee, or on White Space Recruitment PAYE weekly payroll, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
