About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Project Manager to lead their software development projects. This is a fully remote position where you will manage the entire project lifecycle, from concept and planning through to execution, delivery, and closure. You will work closely with engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet market demands and strategic goals, contributing significantly to the company's innovation pipeline from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects in a remote setting.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial targets are met for software initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among geographically dispersed development teams and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely completion.
- Champion agile and scrum methodologies, ensuring adherence to best practices throughout the development process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with at least 4 years specifically in managing software development projects .
- Proven ability to lead and manage remote engineering teams and complex software releases.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with a capacity for problem-solving.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
