About the Role
Our client is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Remote Lead Project Manager to spearhead their project management efforts from a fully remote setting. This senior role involves overseeing a portfolio of high-priority projects, mentoring a team of project managers, and refining project delivery processes to ensure maximum efficiency and success. You will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of projects, fostering a collaborative virtual environment, and ensuring all initiatives meet their objectives while upholding company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of complex projects from initiation through to completion.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to a team of project managers operating remotely.
- Develop and implement strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain robust project management processes, standards, and best practices for a distributed workforce.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies across the project portfolio.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with all stakeholders, including executive leadership and project teams, leveraging digital collaboration tools.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or management capacity.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-faceted projects, ideally within a remote or distributed team structure.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience implementing them in virtual settings.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
