About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead significant offshore wind projects from their base in Nottingham , operating under a hybrid working model . This leadership role is critical for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, budget, schedule, risk, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a prime opportunity to make a substantial contribution to the UK's renewable energy transition .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of offshore wind projects, from development through to construction and commissioning.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Oversee contract negotiation and management with suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and risks effectively to senior management and project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on large-scale offshore wind or similar complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience working within a hybrid team environment and managing cross-functional project teams.
