About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Civil Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of key projects within the Bradford area and surrounding regions. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of project delivery, from initial planning and procurement through to construction and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of the civil engineering and construction lifecycle, contributing significantly to the company's project success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, and public realm enhancements.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage project contracts, liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, and resolve any contractual issues.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Conduct regular project review meetings, providing detailed progress reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil engineering or construction industry, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects.
- A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and financial control.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and a good understanding of contract law.
- Ability to work effectively on-site and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
