Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management on infrastructure commissions, acting as the primary client interface. You will steer time, cost, and quality targets across cross-functional teams and ensure governance, reporting, and risk management are in place. Your work supports major transport, utilities and highways projects, contributing to client objectives and project success. This is a senior opportunity within our Yorkshire team to shape delivery on notable programmes and expand your leadership impact.
Responsibilities - Advise at project inception on delivery approaches to meet client objectives
- Define project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, performance)
- Establish governance, processes, and master project plan
- Manage project development against approved plans and targets
- Develop resource plans and procure resources
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate stakeholders
- Apply performance management using KPIs to improve delivery
- Oversee change control, budgeting, and cost forecasting
- Manage project information flow with the client through meetings and communications
- Identify and mitigate project risks and prepare risk responses
- Prepare progress reports and interface with clients and consultants
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and ensure quality, safety, and environmental planning
Key requirements - Experience on large scheme projects (100m plus)
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Degree qualification preferred in Civil Engineering
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc. preferred
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
