Overview In this role you will lead end-to-end project management on large infrastructure commissions, acting as the main client interface to ensure delivery within time, cost and quality parameters. You will join a Manchester team focused on transportation, utilities and highways, shaping governance, plans and controls. You will drive cross-functional collaboration and risk management to meet client objectives, with opportunities to advance toward senior leadership. This role offers impact across major infrastructure programmes within a supportive, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities - Provide strategic guidance at project inception to align with client objectives
- Define and maintain project requirements and success criteria
- Establish governance, processes and systems for the project
- Create and maintain schedules and the master project plan
- Develop and execute resource plans and procurement
- Lead the cross-functional project team and stakeholder engagement
- Apply performance management using KPIs to improve delivery
- Oversee change control, budgeting and cost forecasting
- Manage information flow with the client via meetings and reports
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
- Prepare progress and other formal reports
- Interfacing with clients, consultants and stakeholders across all stages
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environment aspects
Key requirements - Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
- Experience on large scheme projects (100m+ )
- NEC: ECC Project Manager accreditation
- Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS or similar (preferred)
