Overview In this role you will lead HV transmission and distribution projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through handover. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, balance safety, time, cost and quality, and align outcomes with the business vision. You’ll work with stakeholders across complex projects, driving a safe, cost-effective delivery while maintaining strong reporting and governance. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project delivery for HV Substation projects
- Inspire and manage a multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure safety, time, cost, scope, quality and risk are controlled
- Manage design management activities and interface with tendering/design teams
- Prepare internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
- Implement scope, information and configuration management principles
- Conduct monthly project reviews with Scheme Sponsor
- Maintain health, safety and environmental standards on site
- Develop plans for team goals and development
- Foster high-performing teams and talent development
Key requirements - Demonstrated experience in a similar role on a Substation project
- Experience in a complex project environment with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to articulate and share the business vision with the team
- HND or Degree in Engineering or Management / Construction
- Experience in Design Management
- Experience on National Grid project types
- Proven track record of project delivery
- Good understanding of standard contract forms
- Proficient in commercial/project management communications
- Experience implementing safe systems of work
