Overview In this role you will drive the setup and growth of an in-house Fire & Security capability. You’ll oversee end-to-end projects from design through handover, shaping processes and accreditations with senior management. You’ll engage clients, consultants, and suppliers to deliver compliant, professional installations while building a sustainable department. Responsibilities - Lead projects from enquiry to completion (design, estimating, programming, procurement, labour and subcontractor coordination, installation, testing, commissioning, handover)
- Oversee project costs and programmes; maintain drawings, specifications, certificates, and handover information
- Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and client specifications
- Develop processes, procedures, and technical capability for a new Fire & Security division
- Build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and clients; identify growth opportunities for the offering
- Contribute to creating a sustainable, commercially successful department with increasing responsibility
Key requirements - Proven experience in the Fire Alarm or Fire & Security industry
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in design/ design management, estimates and quotations, procurement, supplier management
- Knowledge of BS 5839; familiarity with BS 7671, security standards, and BAFE accreditation desirable
- Experience with Advanced, Kentec, Notifier, Morley, C TEC, Hochiki, Apollo or Gent advantageous
- Experience across access control, CCTV and intruder alarms
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage costs and margins; client relationship skills
