Overview As a Project Manager at Mace, you lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver construction and infrastructure projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will oversee design, procurement, construction, and handover, coordinating clients, consultants, and contractors to achieve high-quality outcomes. The role focuses on risk management, programme performance, and governance in a fast-paced, on-site, four-days-a-week setting with one flexible day. Responsibilities - Manage delivery from planning through handover
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain programmes, schedules, and delivery plans
- Monitor performance against milestones, budgets, and quality
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues
- Lead project meetings and report progress and decisions
- Oversee change control and governance compliance
- Manage consultant/contractor appointments, fees, and performance
- Foster safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement culture
- Ensure robust quality management and governance
- Support commercial activities including forecasting and budgeting
- Promote innovation and digital delivery across the team
Key requirements - Proven experience as Project Manager on medium to large-scale construction/infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of PM principles, methodologies, and governance
- Experience delivering through the construction delivery phase
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, procurement, and contract administration
- Experience managing risk, programme, and project controls
- Ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Degree or equivalent in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
- MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent membership
- Relevant construction or project management certifications
- CSCS Card or equivalent
