Overview You will lead safe, compliant delivery of major capital, construction and customer connections projects. You’ll orchestrate cross-functional teams across the project lifecycle, ensuring outputs are met on time, within budget and to quality and regulatory standards. You will manage governance, risk, and contracts, while driving capital efficiency. This role sits in a high-impact network team that sustains renewables integration and grid reliability.

Responsibilities - Lead multidisciplinary project teams spanning design, engineering, operations, commercial, finance, quality, environment, construction and commissioning
- Oversee commercial and contract management with appointed contractors and service partners (NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, design and construct, frameworks)
- Maintain project governance: programme control, cost forecasting, risk/opportunity management, change control, reporting, assurance and escalation
- Identify opportunities to improve capital efficiency while safeguarding safety, quality, and regulatory outputs
- Represent the organisation in internal governance, stakeholder forums and industry groups as needed
- Coordinate project scope, objectives, governance, delivery strategies, roles and decision routes
- Develop and control integrated programmes, delivery plans, budgets, forecasts, risk registers and resource plans
- Manage expenditure, forecasts, commitments and changes within delegated authority
- Ensure delivery of outputs, milestones and regulatory commitments across the lifecycle
- Undertake project reviews and disseminate lessons learned across the portfolio
- May act on behalf of the Senior Project Manager when required
Key requirements - HND in Engineering, Construction or Project Management or equivalent experience
- Experience managing complex construction or infrastructure projects, preferably electricity transmission or regulated infrastructure
- Experience leading projects through construction, commissioning, handover and close-out
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and project control disciplines
- Experience in programme management, cost forecasting, change control, risk and opportunity management, and performance reporting
- Experience in contract and commercial management including NEC, FIDIC, design and construct, framework or similar contracts
