Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary transport projects across their full lifecycle, ensuring buildable, safe, and compliant solutions. You will act as the delivery focal point among design teams, construction partners, and clients, guiding design and build, managing change, and supporting high-quality handover. You’ll mentor junior colleagues, grow client relationships, and help expand Arup’s transport offering in Northern Ireland and beyond. Responsibilities - Lead Design & Build transport projects from tender to handover
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure buildability, cost and programme certainty
- Manage change control, risk, and contract administration (NEC contracts)
- Support delivery across design, construction, commissioning and handover phases
- Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to business development and client relationships
Key requirements - Degree-level qualification and Chartered status (CEng) in engineering or related discipline
- Experience leading Design & Build transport infrastructure projects from tender through construction and handover
- Proven ability to manage cost, programme, risk and change in a client-side project role
- Strong contract and commercial awareness, with NEC experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in design and/or construction environments
