Overview As a Project Manager at Waters Advanced Diagnostics, you will steer complex IVD development programs, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver LC-MS diagnostic solutions with strong quality and regulatory standards. You’ll bridge R&D, regulatory, and commercial functions to align scope, timelines, and milestones with program goals. Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end IVD development workstreams (assays, instruments, software)
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables with cross-functional teams
- Maintain integrated project plans and link risk management with program goals
- Manage execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets
- Coordinate with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing
- Communicate project status and updates clearly
- Ensure regulatory compliance (IVDR, FDA 510(k), CE) and support design controls
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Support budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
- Manage external partners, CROs, and suppliers and monitor contracts and performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PM processes and tools
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and develop PM capabilities
Key requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field
- PMP training or certification; Agile PM or equivalent preferable
- 2–3 years of project management experience in IVD or life sciences
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (waterfall, agile, MS Project, Smartsheet)
- Good attention to detail and understanding of an IVD product development lifecycle
- Self-starting, growth mindset, able to work independently and in a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
