Overview In this role you lead end-to-end project management for major energy and natural resources commissions, delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You’ll work within the Energy & Natural Resources team to apply governance, coordinate cross-functional delivery, and manage risks and stakeholders. The position combines independent project delivery with access to Turner & Townsend’s broader expertise, offering the chance to influence high-impact, technically complex programmes. This is a client-facing role with a clear impact on project outcomes and safety and sustainability considerations.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end project management for commissions, aligning with client objectives and constraints
- Define project requirements and success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance)
- Establish governance, processes, and systems for project delivery
- Develop and maintain master project plan and schedules
- Manage resources, procurement, and cross-functional team leadership
- Apply performance management and KPIs to drive delivery improvements
- Oversee change control, budgets, and financial forecast accuracy
- Coordinate project communications with client, consultants, and stakeholders
- Advise on Health & Safety and Environmental issues and risks
- Plan for and manage quality, safety, health and environment considerations
- Mentor/oversee junior staff where appropriate
- Capture learnings into internal knowledge management systems
- Identify and implement process improvements in internal systems
Key requirements - Degree qualified in relevant discipline
- Working towards MCIOB / APM or similar professional qualification
- Proven experience managing HT&M projects, ideally in a consultancy
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Eligible for BPSS level security clearance
- Willingness to work on-site 2/3 days per week in Glasgow or Perth
