Overview In this role you will lead a portfolio of flood risk projects across the Midlands and Wales, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, commercially viable and technically robust outcomes. You will build strong client and stakeholder relationships and mentor junior colleagues, shaping resilient infrastructure for communities. The position offers career progression and potential movement into commercial leadership on major schemes. Responsibilities - Lead delivery of a diverse project portfolio from inception to completion
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams
- Manage scope, programme, budget, resources, risk and change
- Produce client deliverables (reports, scopes, business cases) and secure commercial performance
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior team members and support business development
- Support bid preparation and work-winning activities
- Contribute to best-practice across the team
Key requirements - Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering, environmental or infrastructure projects, ideally in flood risk management
- Strong project management skills across scope, programme, budget, resources, risk and change
- Experience leading project teams and delivering client-facing outputs
- Strong client and stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with ability to monitor performance, forecasting and profitability
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to mentor others and adopt a collaborative professional approach
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline; chartership or progress towards chartership preferred
