About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and driven Agile Project Manager to join their vibrant team in
Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK . This role focuses on the successful delivery of software development projects, utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure efficiency and high-quality outcomes. You will be responsible for guiding development teams, facilitating ceremonies, and removing impediments to ensure projects progress smoothly and meet their objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide and coach the development team(s) on Agile practices and principles.
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and visible to all stakeholders.
- Identify and remove impediments hindering the team's progress and productivity.
- Track project progress using relevant metrics and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and development teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and resources effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- In-depth understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with backlog management and user story creation.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
