About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Project Manager to drive enhancements within their supply chain operations. This role, based in
Liverpool, Merseyside, UK , will focus on optimizing logistics, improving inventory management, and streamlining procurement processes. You will be instrumental in leading cross-functional teams to implement new strategies and technologies that boost efficiency and reduce costs throughout the supply chain. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for supply chain optimization initiatives.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Analyze existing supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, warehousing, and IT.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and logistics partners.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success and operational efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, specifically within supply chain, logistics, or operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects that have improved efficiency or reduced costs in a supply chain context.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
- Experience with data analysis and using it to inform project decisions.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and ERP/SCM systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
