About the Role
Our client, a highly reputable housebuilder with a strong presence across the South of England, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead significant new build housing developments in the Southampton, Hampshire, UK area. This is a leadership position requiring extensive experience in managing all phases of residential construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for strategic planning, budget control, team leadership, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality homes that meet stringent standards. Key Responsibilities

- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor performance and address issues.
- Oversee procurement processes and contract management.
- Report on project status, risks, and financial performance to senior management.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality homes that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in project management within the housebuilding or residential construction sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale housing developments on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of residential construction, planning regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial control tools.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., APM, CIOB) are highly desirable.
- Experience working in the Southampton or wider Hampshire region is a strong advantage.
