Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly organised Construction Project Manager to lead significant residential development projects in the
Southampton area. This is a pivotal role responsible for the end-to-end management of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be managing site operations, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing all phases of construction projects from planning and design to completion.
- Managing project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement processes.
- Developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely milestone achievement.
- Coordinating and managing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
- Ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Implementing quality control procedures to guarantee high standards of workmanship.
- Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
- Resolving site issues, conflicts, and technical challenges promptly.
- Preparing regular progress reports for senior management and clients.
- Managing contractual matters and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (e.g., 7+ years) as a Construction Project Manager, with a strong focus on residential developments.
- Demonstrated success in managing projects from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are highly regarded.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
