About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Construction Project Manager to lead significant projects from their base in Southampton . This role is critical in overseeing all aspects of the construction lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and handover. You will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, resources, and teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans , including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Manage all project activities, from site preparation to final completion, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal site teams.
- Implement and enforce robust health, safety, and environmental policies on all construction sites .
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to closeout.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and building regulations .
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
