Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Agile development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to define and prioritize the product backlog.
- Oversee project planning, scope management, and resource allocation for multiple software development projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, impediments, and dependencies to ensure smooth project flow.
- Monitor project progress, manage timelines, and ensure delivery within budget constraints.
- Foster a collaborative and empowered team environment, promoting continuous improvement and high performance.
- Communicate project status, key metrics, and critical information to stakeholders effectively.
- Champion best practices in software development project management and Agile coaching.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex SaaS products using Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various development frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and distributed teams is a plus.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Must be able to work full-time from our Newcastle upon Tyne office.
