About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead significant building and infrastructure projects in the Sunderland area. This role requires a strong leader capable of managing all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning and design to final handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Manage site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and external consultants to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out to the highest quality standards and contractual specifications.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager , with a strong portfolio of completed projects in or around Sunderland .
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field are essential.
