About the Role
Our client requires a highly experienced Lead Project Manager to spearhead strategic projects and programmes in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior position involves guiding project teams, defining strategic roadmaps, and ensuring the successful implementation of key business initiatives. You will play a critical role in shaping project delivery frameworks and mentoring junior project managers. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage large, complex projects from initiation through to successful closure.
- Develop and implement strategic project management frameworks and best practices across the organisation.
- Lead, coach, and mentor project managers and project teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication channels are maintained at all levels.
- Oversee risk management processes, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in a Project Management leadership role, with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-million pound budgets and complex resource allocation.
- Experience in the Newcastle upon Tyne area or equivalent metropolitan hub.
