About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical business process improvement initiatives across their organization, primarily focusing on operations in the Sunderland area. This role is essential for driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance through strategic project execution. You will work closely with department heads and operational teams to identify bottlenecks, design optimal workflows, and implement sustainable solutions. This is a strategic position that requires strong change management skills and a deep understanding of business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of business process improvement projects, from identification and analysis to implementation and ongoing monitoring.
- Conduct detailed process mapping and analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization within operations in Sunderland .
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, stakeholder alignment, resource allocation, and realistic timelines.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, brainstorm solutions, and drive consensus on process changes.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements and ensure continuous optimization.
- Manage change initiatives effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing disruption to daily operations across the organization.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management , with a strong emphasis on business process improvement or operational excellence.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and design effective, scalable solutions.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement frameworks is essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage individuals at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and project management software is required for this role in Tyne and Wear .
