About the Role
Our client, a data-driven organization at the forefront of its industry, is seeking an experienced Remote Senior Project Manager to lead critical data analytics transformation initiatives. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be instrumental in guiding the development and implementation of advanced analytics platforms, data warehousing solutions, and business intelligence tools across the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of data governance, data science principles, and the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing remote teams and fostering a culture of data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of data analytics transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and implement solutions.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of data analytics tools, platforms, and technologies.
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate effective communication among remote teams and stakeholders through virtual meetings, documentation, and progress reports.
- Drive the adoption of data analytics capabilities across the organization, championing data literacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or a related field. PMP or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on data analytics, business intelligence, or data warehousing projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex data-related projects.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, data governance, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery) is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional remote leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment.
- Must be based in the UK and eligible to work.
