About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead critical business systems integration projects. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, based out of our Liverpool office. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful deployment of new enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and other business-critical software solutions. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage complex integrations, harmonize data across disparate systems, and drive organizational change. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of business processes and IT systems. You will be key in enhancing operational efficiency and data integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of business systems integration projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, business analysts, and subject matter experts.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of enterprise software solutions (e.g., ERP, CRM, SCM).
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure successful delivery of third-party components.
- Develop and execute change management and communication plans to ensure user adoption.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Monitor project progress, performance, and budget, providing regular status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure data integrity and successful data migration between systems.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on business systems integration projects.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing ERP, CRM, or similar large-scale enterprise software solutions.
- Experience managing projects involving data migration and system interoperability.
- Solid understanding of common business processes across different departments (e.g., Finance, Sales, Operations).
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience managing hybrid project teams is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
