About the Role
Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to enhance their operations in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This role is focused on optimizing supply chain processes, implementing new technologies, and managing large-scale projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects focused on supply chain optimization, process improvement, and technology implementation.
- Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, IT, procurement, and customer service, to achieve project goals.
- Analyze existing supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Oversee the implementation of new logistics software and systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of project components.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Communicate project status and outcomes effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing projects within logistics, supply chain, or operations environments.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, warehouse management, and transportation logistics.
- Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and supply chain management tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems is a plus.
